Working 8 hours overtime for the Animal Ambulance

On March 27 2009 creative people in nine Dutch cities worked for 45 charities. In relation to Com-firm's secondary activity, Com-passion, Com-firm participated in Apeldoorn, where 8UO was organised for the first time.

8UO (8 hours overtime) is a unique project which is organised for the fifth time is organized by a national network called the “Nieuwe Garde”.

On one of the stages of the Gigant theater 30 participants were divided over five tables. From 18:00 to 02:00 they worked for five different charities. The group in which Com-firm participated the charity was the Animal Ambulance OverGelder.

After a short briefing with the aim of setting up a campaign to recruit volunteers, we started to brainstorm. In the meantime two volunteers came to visit with one of the animal ambulances.

After a couple of hours brainstorming, designing and writing, at 02:00 the result was a press release, an advertisement and a list of recommendations.

Afterwards we came together to also design a poster and make various changes to their website. The regional newspaper also wrote a two page article about the animal ambulance thanks to the press release.
